Where does the brand name Land Art come from?
When founding the company, our founder, Michael Deslandes, was searching for a name that would represent his products. During his research, he came across the Land Art artistic movement, which involves creating works of art using plants and natural elements. This approach struck him as a perfect reflection of the art of botanical formulation. He also noticed that the word Land echoed his own last name, Des-land-es. And that’s how the brand name was born.

It is not possible to buy products on-site, as our Varennes location is exclusively dedicated to offices and production; it is not a physical store. However, you can place an order on our online store, and your products will be delivered to you by mail.

If you wish to purchase our canadian products from abroad, please note that they are unfortunately not available outside of Canada due to regulations and customs restrictions. However, some of our products are now available in the United States directly through Amazon.

Do I need to refrigerate my supplement?

Why is sodium benzoate added to some products?
Some products require the addition of sodium benzoate. Sodium benzoate is recognized as completely safe and non-hazardous by the World Health Organization, the European Commission, and the FDA. This preservative is effective in reducing the growth of yeast and mold. Moreover, it remains very stable in our products, and there is no trace of benzene in any of them. Not using it in certain products could lead to serious health consequences.
Can I take glucosamine if I have diabetes?
Yes. A person with diabetes can take glucosamine, but as with any supplement, it should be discussed with their doctor. Glucosamine is not a source of glucose, but some studies suggest that it may slightly influence blood sugar levels. Health Canada does not list any contraindications or risks for people with diabetes.
What does the NPN number on my product mean?
The NPN (Natural Product Number) is a license number issued by Health Canada. It confirms that the product’s formula has been reviewed and approved for its safety, quality, and effectiveness.
What is the shelf life of your products after the expiration date?
The expiration date is indicated next to the lot number on the label of each of our products. According to our stability studies, our products maintain their full effectiveness and quality up to that date. After this period, the product does not become harmful to your health, but we can no longer guarantee the same level of effectiveness. That said, our analyses show that most of our products generally retain their freshness for up to one year after the expiration date. If you have any questions, our team will be happy to assist you.
How long do I have to consume my supplement after opening it?
Once opened, if the supplement is stored as recommended on the label (in the refrigerator or in a dry place), it can be used up until the expiration date indicated on the bottle.
Are your products certified organic?
Not all of our products are certified organic, but we now offer a range of many supplements that are certified organic by Ecocert.
