Let’s Talk Lunch Boxes!

Let’s Talk Lunch Boxes!

We’ve looked at this topic from every angle. We’ve had our fair share of frustrations and plenty of restrictions. Let’s be honest—packing lunch boxes these days isn’t exactly easy!

First, there are food allergies, which can be challenging to navigate, especially if you enjoy making homemade snacks like muffins, granola bars, and treats. Then there’s the environmental aspect: reducing our use of plastic bags and disposable containers. And of course, we can’t forget nutrition. Creating balanced, varied lunches that our kids will actually eat can sometimes feel like solving a puzzle!

Written by Stéfanie Crevier, our newest contributor! A naturopathy student at the Institut d’enseignement naturopathique du Québec, massage therapist, founder of Refuge Soins Naturels, culinary enthusiast, and, most importantly, the proud mother of three wonderful children, Stéfanie joins our team to share her favorite healthy recipes, eco-friendly tips, wellness discoveries, and practical ideas to help make family life a little easier.

Let’s Talk Solutions!

When it comes to allergies, there are thankfully many great options available. Several brands now offer healthier snack bars made with organic, wholesome ingredients and without excessive sugar or unnecessary additives. Homemade cookies or nut-free muffins are also excellent choices and are generally school-friendly. (I’d be happy to share some of my favorite lunchbox snack recipes in a future article!)

As for making lunches more eco-friendly, it’s easier than ever to make a difference. Reusable snack bags, Mason jars, washable juice boxes, and reusable pouches for yogurt or applesauce are just a few of the many options available. While putting together a starter kit may cost between $35 and $60, these products can last for years. Just remind your little ones to take good care of them—and most importantly, not to throw them away! Small everyday habits like these help reduce our environmental footprint while setting a great example for the next generation.

Finally, ensuring that our children enjoy a varied and nutritious diet is essential for their growth and development. But between busy schedules, picky eaters, and running out of meal ideas, it’s not always easy. While nothing replaces a balanced diet, adding vitamins and minerals can be a practical way to help fill nutritional gaps.

That brings me to Land Art Multivit, a liquid multivitamin supplement. It contains beta-carotene, vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B12, D3, E, and folic acid. Simply add it to your child’s breakfast routine to help prevent nutritional deficiencies, support a healthy immune system, and promote healthy growth and overall well-being.

There you have it! Nothing complicated—just a little organization, a few new ideas, and a lot of good intentions.

Wishing you and your family a wonderful back-to-school season and a successful school year!

Cheers to your health!
