Why is sodium benzoate found in vitamin C?
For ascorbic acid to react with sodium benzoate, a reaction catalyst (usually a metal complex) and very high heat are required.
However, our product is manufactured and stored at room temperature, well below the threshold required to trigger such a reaction. Furthermore, it is packaged in an amber bottle, which effectively protects it from UV rays, minimizing any risk of photochemical degradation.
Furthermore, the product has been laboratory analyzed and no traces of benzene were detected.
A stability study is also conducted to ensure the product’s validity throughout its shelf life.
